Clive Sanford
Clive is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has been in the M&A space since 1985. He acted on many public and private company transactions in the 1980's, establishing and managing the M&A team at a major City professional services firm, in due course becoming a Partner.
He left the City in 1991 to form his own SFA-authorised advisory firm and has maintained some involvement in the Corporate Finance arena ever since, having taken lead adviser roles in hundreds of transactions, of many types and sizes, across a multitude of sectors.
Clive also has a passion for business. He has been Financial Director of a £20 million group of companies in the consumer product sector and, in addition to raising private equity funding and buying and selling companies as a principal, he was part of a senior management team that ran businesses involved in import & export, several different manufacturing activities and both B2B and B2C sales and marketing. He has also had several roles as a Non-Executive Director or Adviser to the Board of growing companies and invests on his own account in private companies.
Sports are his main interest outside business, both as spectator and participant – he is an avid Arsenal fan and spends many disappointing and frustrating hours on the golf course.
"Graham is one of the strongest and most insightful owner-managers I have ever worked with. Although sales are his forte, he has a terrific all-round understanding of business and a supreme ability to inspire and motivate people.
Although I consider myself a deal expert and an experienced negotiator, Graham undoubtedly has the "X-Factor" when sitting across the table from a buyer or seller."
